Since I stopped playing football, I have had severe pain in my knee. It was always inflamed and I tried to use ice to flame it, but I couldn't. When I returned home, my son asked me to go for a run with him, but I was unable to run and this caused me great disappointment. At first I did infiltrations to give the possibility of removing the pain a little, but to no avail.
I had an arthroscopy operation, with the microfracture technique to try to regenerate cartilage.
Then I had the meniscus transplant, but unfortunately after a year it was clear that it wasn't going well. Finally we grafted a scaffold capable of reconstructing both the bone part and the cartilage part. Thanks to the new implant I have resumed my daily life, I am able to run for a long time, 2/3 times a week, I have recovered naturalness in movement and I am finally able to run with my son. Now I have the goal of running the Marathon.
