Our Story
Finceramica develops and markets pioneering biomimetic solutions that have transformed the landscape of regenerative surgery. Our research efforts are focused on patient and surgeon needs, addressing challenges in orthopedic, spine, neurosurgery, and maxillofacial surgery.
What are
Biomaterials?
A biomaterial is any substance, natural or artificial that has been engineered to treat, repair or replace any tissue, organ or function of the body.
Being similar from a chemical and structural point of view to the human tissues, these materials have the peculiar feature of favouring the regeneration of physiological tissues.
Finceramica biomaterial products are made of hydroxyapatite, the bioceramic material which makes up 70% of the human bone. Once implanted, hydroxyapatite-based biomaterials form an ideal micro-environment to biologically support the development of the new bone.
